Why would I use WordPress for my landing pages? Why is it better than plain HTML / CSS?
WordPress is a versatile content management system (CMS) that allows you to create professional looking pages without much knowledge of code. It has the advantage of being secure and easy to customize, along with support from a strong and dedicated community. In WordPress you can have a professional site up and running in minutes, and changing your copy and layout can be done just as quickly. By using regular HTML and CSS you are less limited in your design options, but you need a strong foundation of coding knowledge to make your landing pages effective.
What else do I need to get started?

Domain: Any respectable affiliate has a variety of domains at his or her disposal. If you’re scaling up your campaigns and running multiple landing pages, you’re going to need a good registrar to keep up with your domain needs. We wholeheartedly recommend Namecheap because the prices are great ($9 for a domain plus FREE anonymous registration). You can find coupons to get domains ridiculously cheap domains at GoDaddy, but we recommend Namecheap long term. Their support is top-notch and I’ve never had a problem that couldn’t be fixed right away.

Hosting: I use HostGator for all of my sites. They offer the best flexibility, support, and uptime that I’ve seen in a host. You can have unlimited domains on a shared account for $7/month, and they support Fantastico, which can install WordPress automatically. Basically, you can go from nothing to a professional landing page in less than an hour. Check them out.
What versions of WordPress is your theme compatible with?
Our themes have been tested to run best on WordPress 3.0.1 and the Thesis version is fully compatible with version 1.8. As updates come out we will provide support and future compatibility to those of you brave enough to purchase the ultimate landing page package!
May I resell your theme?
No, you may not. We appreciate your entrepreneurial spirit, but we do not permit resale. We’re not trying to be jerks, it’s just that we worked hard to develop our products! An affiliate program is in the works, so stay tuned and subscribe for any updates.
What support do you offer for your themes?
With your download, you should have received our comprehensive installation guides (If you didn’t, let us know!). They cover the basics of setup and modification of our themes—if something isn’t covered, email us. We’re happy to answer questions you have about installation, but technical issues can be so varied that we don’t have the resources to support them.
WordPress has an active forum, and if you purchased the Thesis version, the DIYThemes community does a great job with support. We’ll help you get your theme off the lot, but as soon as you step on the gas, you’re on your own!
How many sites can I deploy this theme on? Are there any limits?
Deploy it on as many sites as you want! You’re limited only by your time and creativity, and we hope that your landing pages kill it out there (remember to keep testing).
What files are included with your themes?
It depends on the package you purchase:
- Thesis Version: All of the images are included, along with the custom.css and custom_functions.php files; it is a fully customized version of Thesis. The Thesis theme isn’t included, but if you purchase it through our affiliate link, you can our landing page for free!
- Non-Thesis: This theme is built on the Thematic framework, which has been customized. You’ll receive all of the theme files as well as the images. Just upload the images and the theme, and you’re good to go.
- Ultimate Landing Page Package: All of the above, PLUS the photoshop files. Not a bad deal, considering you can change EVERYTHING with some photoshop skills.
I’m new to affiliate marketing–how should I get started?
There are plenty of great guides out there for Affiliate Marketing. Everything you’ll ever need to know about it can be found in Nickycakes’ excellent Newbie Guide. Read that, and most importantly, take action. Too much time is wasted on planning and reading guides; instead of reading about others’ successes, go out there and make your own!
What is your policy on refunds?
We offer refunds within 30 days for any technical issue that you may have. If for whatever reason you cannot get the theme to work on a specified domain, we will offer a full refund. Contact us for any questions regarding getting set up, but beyond that we cannot currently offer support for any customizations that you may make.
